Pipe 2D is a pipe design tool on AutoCAD on an industrial level. It includes three independent modules, which provide solutions for the different types of planes required in a project (schematic pipe designs, plant and side view drawings and the creation of isometric view planes). |

The Pipe 2D fittings are inserted as AutoCAD blocks. All the elements can be edited and their properties be specified (material, code, description, origin file, etc.). All the modifications regarding the size or the materials are automatically updated in all the elements in the line. The editing capacity enables the designer to work considerably faster and with greater precision. Pipe 2D has libraries of Pipes, Fittings (Filters, Joints, Spec blind, Reducing elements, Caps, etc.), Valves (3-rail, angle, globe, back pressure, butterfly, gate, etc.), Flanges (welded, screwed, plug, flat-faced, slip-on, etc.), Symbols (insulation, contacts box, drain, drainage, etc.) and Equipment (pumps, deposits, motorized mixers and coolers). Pipe 2D allows you to create new elements and integrate them in the database of your choice. Moreover, Pipe 2D is capable of creating lists of the fittings inserted in the drawing at any moment throughout the process of the project, and this list can be exported to Access and Excel formats.

As in the Diagrams and Equipment module, the elements can be edited and their properties defined.

Pipe 2D allows each of the elements to be inserted in your project to be defined. They are presented in Plant, Side Views or Profile and the Inlet and Outlet data are specified (it specifies the type of connections of the pipes, flanges, valves etc. to the fittings in accordance with the active database and the configurations available). In addition, it specifies the diameter, code, etc. It is also possible to create new elements and add them to the existing ones, in addition to creating materials lists at any moment during the design process. The program has fittings and pipes in two standard databases in ANSI and DIN. In order to insert elements, you simply need to configure the parameters and Pipe 2D will produce a drawing with the appropriate sizes.

Isometrics AutoCAD provides the option of an isometric view for tracing the directions of the pipes, but we must create the elements in the different directions of the isometric planes. With Pipe 2D, the elements are already prepared and, with a simple click we can choose the direction in which we want to insert them (left, right, up). Moreover, we can define the inlet and outlet diameter that will serve when the materials are listed. The materials list can appear jointly with the plane. |
